Today in the United States we salute our veterans. For those who make the sacrifice we give our thanks. May today be a special day for you and your families. To our active duty soldiers, sailors and airmen we await for your return.
Thanks Again
This is a courtesy notice letting everyone know the song of the day page has been updated. We thank everyone for their support in Heather’s project.
Howdy friends and neighbors!
So…here’s what’s up! By the suggestion of my friend, Mark Hodges at Mountain Fever Records, I have decided to take on a “song of the day challenge”! Here’s how it works…I post a new song on my new YouTube channel everyday for a whole year!!! I’m very excited about this, and I just hope that I don’t run out of songs! Here’s where you come in, go to my channel and enjoy the songs everyday, and if there’s a certain song that you would like to hear, just post it in the comments and I will do my very best to do it for you! The address for my channel is www.youtube.com/user/heatherberry87. Check it out, and tell your friends!
Thanks so much and hope to see ya down the road sometime soon!
Love y’all!!!
Heather
Howdy Friends!
Well, we’re back from the big City of Nashville and the IBMAs! We had a blast! We played 4 showcases, two at the Good Home Grown Music suite, and two at the Mountain Fever Records suite. We met lots of new friends and got to visit with some of our oldest and dearest buddies!
We spent a lot of time talking up our upcoming release on Mountain Fever Records, and promoting our new song for the album, “Walk Slow” from the pen of Tom T. and Miss Dixie Hall. It’s a great and meaningful song. We just LOVE it, and sure hope that you will as well! Be sure to call your local radio station and request to hear it. From what we hear, Miss Dixie has sent an early release out to radio stations across the country!
That’s right, we’re working really hard on the new CD and should have it out around January, so be looking for it! And be sure to stop by www.mountainfeverrecords.com to check out all of their great artists!
We’ll be playing at the Douthat State Park Fall Festival near Clifton Forge, VA Oct 8, and at Priddy’s General Store in Danbury, NC Oct 22! Y’all come!
Hope to see ya soon!
Love, Heather
We hope you can come see us at Bluegrass in the Hills in Hopedale, OH and Pickin’ in Parsons BGF in Parson’s, WV this coming weekend. We will be sharing the stage with some great artists we’d love to see you.
As the site admin for http://heatherberrymusic.com/ I am thankful for everyone who has visited the site and has returned to the site. We know that 2011 will be another great year of music for Heather and Tony.
Hello Everyone!
I just wanted to say Happy New Year to all my bluegrass buddies out there! I hope that 2011 will be a great and prosperous year for everyone!
We’ve really started out the new year with a bang! Tony played his first show with Danny Paisley and the Southern Grass on New Year’s Eve in Raleigh, North Carolina, and we are still so excited about Tony’s new gig! I definitely recommend y’all checking them out, as they are INCREDIBLE! Visit Danny on the web at www.dannypaisley.com.
Tony and I have some great venues where we’ll be pickin’ and grinnin’ this year, too… and more to come! So come on out and see us!
We love y’all, and hope to see ya down the road real soon!

Hello everyone!
I hope you all are doing just great! So sorry that I haven’t posted in a while. It’s been pretty busy around here!
Well, there’s been lots going on with me and Tony. We started out the Christmas season with a trip to Wheatfield, Indiana. And since then Tony’s been to IL, WI, and back to IN, while I’ve been in Virginia playing some Christmas shows. It’s just been a great time! But no more shows for us til the first of the year. And we are really looking forward to relaxing, jamming, and spending some much needed time with family through Christmas and New Years.
Well, it looks like 2010 is drawing to an end. That’s so hard believe. It has been a great year for us! Full of fun times and memories, milestones and great music. But 2011 is right around the corner, and we are looking to future. The sad thing about the future though, new journeys begin, but others come to an end.
Speaking of the future, Tony has decided to leave the James King Band. Tony would like to thank James for the opportunity to pick with him, as he has always been one of Tony’s heroes. And he has definitely had a great time with James and the boys, and we hate to see it end. James, you are such a great talent. We love you, and wish you only the best in 2011 and always!
But I’m very pleased and proud to say that Tony will be playing all of the dates with me posted on my schedule for 2011, and that is certainly good news because I have missed him so much this year.
We’re also thrilled that Tony will be picking with Danny Paisley and the Southern Grass! They are some of my all time favorites! In fact, y’all plan to come out and see them at First Night in Raliegh, North Carolina Friday Dec 31! I know it will be a great time!
Well, I guess that’s it for now. But I definitely want to wish everyone a very blessed and Merry Christmas! I just love this time of year, and want to encourage everyone to make the most of it, and always remember the reason for the season.
I love y’all! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!

What a beautiful day here in Walnut Cove! The sun is shining, and a nice cool breeze is blowing. As I sit here typing this I can hear Tony out on the front porch pickin’ Dixie on his old 5-string. It just don’t get much better than this! We’re just waiting on our buddy, Jimmy Loyd to come by! And I’m sure we’ll end up pickin’ a tune or two with him after ‘while, and I can’t wait!
I just absolutely love fall, and I’m so glad that it’s finally here. We definitely need a little relief after such a long, hot summer.
We had such an awesome Labor Day weekend! The Albert Hash Memorial Festival in White Top, Virginia was so much fun as always! I always love to hear our friends The White Top Mountaineers play some good old-time music! If they don’t make you want to get up and buck dance, nothing will! We were about the only bluegrass band there, but the audience was very receptive, and we hope to be on the line up again next year! I definitely want to thank my friends Barry Collins, Patrick Robertson, Gale Shockley, and Marry Prillaman for coming out and pickin’ with me! It was great, and I couldn’t have possibly enjoyed it more!
Then yesterday, Tony and I went to play some music with Jamie Collins over in Bristol, TN to practice up for our show at Rhythm and Roots September 19. And we just had a ball! She’s a great bass player and singer, and we are so excited about pickin’ with her! Yeah, It was a gorgeous day in Bristol, so we just picked outside on the porch, ordered us a couple pizzas, and when we decided we were done pickin’, we ended up out on the Houlston River in a pontoon boat! What a perfect end to an awesome weekend of friends, music and memories!
I want to wish everyone a very happy Labor Day! Hope you enjoy it!
Y’all take care, and hope to see ya somewhere real soon!
